- Hiya.
-
- If you have the 4 DIP-switch model, I have the info you want.
-
- Going from left to right (while looking at the phone jacks):
-
- DIP 1 - Auto answer - Up = answer on second ring
- Down = auto answer suppressed.
-
- DIP 2 - Carrier Detect Enable - Up = no carrier detect signal
- Down = Carrier detect on pins H-K on edge
- connector.
- The manual says not to be concerned with this switch unless you're
- using the 1670 with a Plus/4.
-
- DIP 3 - Speed indicate enable - Up = Disable speed indicate signal.
- Down = Enable speed indicate signal (to inform
- program of transmission speed).
-
- DIP 4 - Data Terminal Ready - Up = DTR normal; computer controls DTR.
- Down = DTR always on.
-
- I have mine set as Up, Down, Down, Down, and have no problem.

- No problems, only solutions.
